I recently taught a training session on\u00a0getting\u00a0great\u00a0clients.<\/p>\n

One of the things I hear VAs lament about all the time is the\u00a0lack of clients<\/strong>. Or the\u00a0lack of great\u00a0clients<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If they don’t have\u00a0clients, they think there are none out there.
\nIf they do have\u00a0clients, they think they need to do whatever the\u00a0client wants to keep them.<\/p>\n

I mean, really,\u00a0who likes to turn down money<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

But it’s not a way to build a sustainable, awesome business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"When you are operating your VA business,\u00a0YOU\u00a0get\u00a0to make the choices<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0how much to charge<\/em>,\u00a0what services to provide<\/em>, and\u00a0who you want to work with.<\/em><\/p>\n

If you aren’t comfortable making these three decisions, then you are missing an essential piece of your business.<\/p>\n

Getting\u00a0clients\u00a0is easy<\/strong>\u00a0– all you have to do is know these three things about your business – and then connect with people.<\/p>\n

Do you know:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0How much to charge<\/strong>?
\n2.\u00a0What services to provide<\/strong>?
\n3.\u00a0Who you want to work with<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

I can hear you now .. saying,\u00a0‘Sure, you make it sound easy, but it’s not’.\u00a0<\/em>I’ve heard that a lot from VAs who are struggling in their business.<\/p>\n

But what I have helped them learn (because I had to learn it myself!) is that\u00a0THEY are the only reason\u00a0<\/strong>they don’t have lots of great clients.<\/p>\n

Either they haven’t focused in on their specialty, or they haven’t set up the proper pricing, or they haven’t identified the best people they need to support.<\/p>\n

When you do these three things,\u00a0suddenly everything makes more sense.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u00a0get\u00a0paid what you are worth, you do the things you love to do and you work with people who truly value you and appreciate you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And if they HAVE done all three of the pieces and still don’t have enough great\u00a0clients, then\u00a0the only issue left is visibility\u00a0<\/strong>or exposure to the right people.<\/p>\n

Networking is essential, and reaching out, connecting, and following up is the only thing that will help you\u00a0sign new\u00a0clients.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I spoke with a colleague today who built a website for a\u00a0client, and now the\u00a0client\u00a0is wondering why her business isn’t booming all of a sudden. But she’s not promoting her website, she’s not networking, she is not finding the\u00a0clients\u00a0who need her.<\/p>\n

You need to do all of the steps in order to\u00a0get\u00a0the business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s not hard –\u00a0it’s really not<\/em>\u00a0–\u00a0but you MUST do the work<\/strong>. And when you learn to do the work, the sky is the limit for your business.<\/p>\n

Getting\u00a0clients\u00a0is easy – so I challenge you to think about which piece you need to work on, and\u00a0get\u00a0a plan in place to move forward with that. (If you need to work on all three, just pick one to start with!)<\/p>\n
