My network isn\u2019t big enough, and other excuses VAs make for not having clients.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If your VA business is struggling, it\u2019s probably because you don\u2019t have enough clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s actually one of the biggest problems that VAs tell me they have in their business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I ask them why<\/em> they don\u2019t have enough clients, one of the most common excuses is that their network is not big enough. They say they don\u2019t know enough people to get great clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the answer to that? It\u2019s simpler than you think: Grow your network.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Not<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Stop using the fact that you don\u2019t have very many followers as an excuse for not having enough clients. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you need more followers or connections, you must go out and find them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone starts with no email list, no audience, and has to grow it from there. You need to invite people to join your Facebook page, you have to invite them to be your contact on Linked In, or invite them to sign up for your free offer to get on your mailing list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many clients do you need?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You probably only need a few clients, so you don\u2019t need to grow a list or a following of hundreds of thousands and people. And you only need to add one at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take baby steps every day.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you talk to just one person every day, that is 30 business connections you are making every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get people to work with you means they need to hear about you. And doing networking outreach is one of the most effective ways you can make better connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finding connections is closer than you think.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In a recent small business survey<\/a>, 46% said they get work from friends and family. But do you know how many VAs say their friends and family have no idea what they do in their business?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The simplest solution is to develop a marketing message that your family and friends will understand  and can repeat to others.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Many VAs prefer to remain behind the scenes \u2013 and while that\u2019s okay for doing the actual client work, for getting clients you need to be more visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Putting yourself out there doesn\u2019t have to mean doing videos and Facebook lives or even going to every networking event in your local area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But you do need to connect with people. And you can do that one on one if that\u2019s how you prefer to do it. It\u2019s about quality, not quantity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set up a new daily routine to reach out to just 1 or 2 people. Every single day. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You will find your network growing faster than you thought it would. And you will be having valuable conversations with people that will bring business your way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So stop making excuses and just take action.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll develop a simple, fun, new routine in your day \u2013 and your business will thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
