Are you still struggling to get Virtual Assistant clients? Where are you looking for them?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Many Virtual Assistants spend a lot longer looking for clients than they need to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that\u2019s you, consider what you are actually doing to find clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are your daily activities? Are those activities leading you in the direction of clients? Or are you just wasting your time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quickest way for you to get clients for your VA business is to have business conversations with other business owners.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Where can you find business owners? You can start with Facebook groups. But not the ones you are probably looking in now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are struggling to get VA clients, my guess is that you are doing most of your networking in groups with other VAs. How many VA groups do you belong to?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need to stop focusing your attention on those VA groups now if you want to get clients quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, you need to start joining entrepreneur groups and building relationships there \u2013 THESE are the people who will be your clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more time you spend with entrepreneurs, the more clients you will get. And it can happen very quickly.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"Stop<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Find Groups That Your Clients Hang Out In<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Whatever you focus on, grows. When you focus on connecting with business owners, you intentionally talk about business. Find a couple of groups that you can join that have your potential clients in them. This is where they will be talking about their business, talking about what they are having trouble with, and looking for answers to their questions and problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to Talk About<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When you join any group, you want to introduce yourself but not sell yourself. Concentrate always on being helpful and people will see it. The basis of a service business is to help others, so when you concentrate on that more than trying to actually sell someone your services, you will experience much more success. Talk about how you can help people with the things they are stuck on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Get Started<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before you can connect with potential clients, you need to be clear about who you can help, and how. If you haven\u2019t made those decisions yet, that\u2019s where you need to start. Choose one of your service offerings and decide who you can work with that needs that service. Then seek out active groups online and join them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start to Make Connections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Make everything you do conversational. Join in conversations. Start conversations if you feel comfortable doing so. Answer questions if you are qualified to do so. Don\u2019t sell. Concentrate on making connections and building relationships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Track Your Connections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When you connect with people, track them in a spreadsheet or CRM. If you have one to one conversations with anyone, record what they asked about and how you answered. Getting good at business communication takes practice, but it also takes understanding the things that work and the things that don\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be Consistent<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When you join any group, the more consistently you show up, the easier things are. People in the group will see your name, they will check you out \u2013 and if you help another person in the group with a problem they have, they may even reach out to you themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bottom Line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The bottom line is you need to network with potential clients. Stop spending your days in the VA groups and then wondering why you are not getting any clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now yes, some of these groups have clients in them but you are always a pebble in the ocean when these clients post opportunities. It\u2019s much easier to be a big rock in a group of entrepreneurs \u2013 one that gets noticed and stands out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if you are spending your time and energy in VA groups, you are probably still asking questions about your own business, or even just lurking \u2013 and those are not actions that will get you clients. You need to talk to business people \u2013 potential clients \u2013 every single day, in order to find clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust me, if you are a VA in an entrepreneur group, you will get noticed. So many of your colleagues are spending their time in the wrong places \u2013 go where the clients are, and you\u2019ll get clients. It\u2019s as simple as that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start connecting with the people you can help and you will be on your way to a thriving VA business sooner that you expect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
