Running a business is challenging, and a\nVA business is no different. If you are struggling, it\u2019s normal. <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are a lot of challenges that a VA can face, without realizing that they are even struggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are three big ones (and how to fix them!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

1. Loneliness<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Working by yourself is so appealing when you first start\nout. No distractions, no interruptions, no one else making decisions except\nyou. It\u2019s pure bliss! But soon enough, the solitude can really weigh on you. It\ndoesn\u2019t happen for everyone, but it\u2019s very common, and if you are experiencing\nloneliness, know that it\u2019s perfectly normal. But you do have to get out of it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to fix it:<\/strong> <\/em>Find a trusted small group of colleagues to connect with regularly. Having a small group to bounce ideas around with, talk through challenges, and celebrate successes, is really good for your mindset. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Money<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Managing your business money is easy when you have lots\ncoming in and not much going out, but if the expenses are eating into your profit,\nthat is very stressful. You need to make sure your business is running at a\nprofit to keep the stress at bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to fix it:<\/em><\/strong> Make sure your rates are set properly, and ensure that your expenses are covered before anything else \u2013 including any taxes you will owe your government. That\u2019s usually the biggest chunk that VAs forget about. If you aren\u2019t earning enough, your main focus every day should be finding new clients to increase your revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Indecision<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you find yourself doing hours of research on\neverything and never making a decision, you are not moving forward with your\nbusiness. You need to give yourself the opportunity to move forward \u2013 even if\nyou make a mistake \u2013 because staying in the same spot will never help you build\nyour business. Mistakes can be corrected, and you will learn as you go.\nIndecision is a business killer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to fix it:<\/em><\/strong> Get better at decision making. Sometimes this takes some help. You can invest in a coach to help you with it. I find that most VAs just need a little help to learn how to make good decisions, and then their confidence begins to grow so they can do it on their own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a lot of challenges to running your own\nbusiness. If you find yourself dealing with any of these ones, try these tips\nto fix them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bet you\u2019ll find yourself moving forward much more easily when you start to take steps to get out of the challenge! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
