3 Tips for Networking at Live Events

I just returned from attending a live event called Transform in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was hosted by Pamela Bruner, and there were approximately 300 people in attendance. It was a great teaching experience, but it was also a wonderful networking experience – imagine have 3 or 4 full days to connect with people – that’s a lot of time to make it around the room! This is one of the things that is so great about a live event – getting the time to get to know people better. So I thought I would give you my best 3 tips for networking at live events like the one I just attended: 1. Move around and be social. Move from… Read More »3 Tips for Networking at Live Events

How Much Marketing is Too Much?

Have you ever looked at your marketing calendar and thought maybe it was a little heavy on the promotions? It happens, especially when we are launching new products or services, or when we are involved in a joint venture with others. I think it’s important to sit back and analyze the impact of marketing to our list or in our social networks. Promotion is a good thing. If It’s Not Working, Change It

We often talk about the importance of measuring results in our business. Whatever the case may be, when you have something that has a measurable result, make sure you measure it. If it’s not working, change it. Many small business owners go through the process of setting up a program – or even their website freebie – and then just leave it at that. In order to make sure that you are relevant and interesting to your audience, it’s important to measure your results regularly to… Read More »If It’s Not Working, Change It

Do you find yourself so busy working IN your business that your own marketing efforts get shuffled off to the side? If so, you are not alone. Many virtual professionals get so busy working with their own clients, that they don’t regularly market their own business.
