Cool Instant Teleseminar Features

Do you use Instant Teleseminar for your virtual events?

I have been using it for some time now, and I think the platform is really great. (I’m an affiliate but I’d recommend them even if I weren’t!)

There are a couple of neat features (some new, some not so new!) that Instant Teleseminar has that come along with their webcast setup, that I wanted to share with you.

Webcast Listening Option

Each event you set up has a dedicated event page URL that your audience can visit to listen to / watch your presentation. This is a great option for many people, because if they have to dial in directly, they can incur long distance charges.

PowerPoint Capability

The webcast URL also allows you to show a PowerPoint presentation along with your audio presentation, so you can add that visual learning element to your event.

Skype Dial In

You can use Skype to dial in to the call by visiting the webcast event page as well. This is a neat feature for people who use Skype for much of their online communication, and certainly a great idea for people who want to be interactive on the call (which you cannot do from just viewing the webcast page).

Chat Feature

Although you can’t ‘get in on call interaction’ when you are using the webcast option, there is a chat option that the host can set up so that you can instant message your questions or comments while live on the call.  This is a great idea for Q&A calls – it’s nice to be able to have your audience interact with each other, without taking up phone time on the event. It’s also a great way to take questions during a presentation.

Local Dial In Numbers

This is another neat feature that some people don’t know about. If you do want your callers to phone in to your call (for instance if you have an interactive group and you want them to be live on the call so you can all talk with one another), you should give them the local numbers option. This is a set of phone numbers that Instant Teleseminar provides that your callers can use to dial in to your call so that they don’t incur long distance charges.

AutoPilot

This is a brand new feature just introduced by Instant Teleseminar. You now have the ability to pre-record calls and to have them playback anytime you want, automatically. In the past, to set up a pre-recorded call, it was necessary for a moderator to dial in and physically start the call and stop the call. Now it’s all automated, and this can be a really great option for running your virtual events.

There are a lot of other great features in Instant Teleseminar, but these are a few of my favourites. I hope you will check it out!

Let me know if you have any questions about the system. I use it almost daily for my own events and my clients’ events.
