The Simplest Way to Build Your Virtual Assistant Business

How many clients do you have?

How do they work with you?

How do they pay you?

Are you making as much as you expected to make?

Are you happy with the tasks you are doing every day?

Sometimes the answer to that last question is yes, sometimes it’s no, and sometimes it’s a bit of both.

If you don’t have enough clients, you need a plan to get new ones.

If you are still offering a laundry list of tasks for your clients, you need a plan to  parcel them up so you can provide better value, and increase your rates easily.

If you are still working minute by minute, charging clients by the hour, you need a plan to ensure that you are earning enough profit.

And if you are not happy with the amount of time you are working, for the money you are bringing in, you need a change.

What’s the way?

Yep, that’s it.

Talk to someone about your business. It can be a coach, a client, a colleague, or a prospect.

When you talk to someone else, you can get incredible insight from someone who is on the outside, looking in.

Now I know what you are thinking, you don’t want someone else to tell you how to run your business. But sometimes that’s exactly what we need – we are so close to it, it can be hard to see what’s right in front of us.

I recently spoke with three different business owners, not as consults, but just as conversations.

In the conversations, they all asked me about parts of my business model.

Insight about how I work with my clients, opportunities to find a bigger audience, and even how to monetize parts that I am currently doing for free.

These people were not trying to get me to work with them (though I considered it!), we were just having a conversation and they offered their insight.

Talk about your business. Talk about how you make your money. I can guarantee you that someone is going to offer you a simple shift in how you are doing things that will help you grow your business. Or they might offer more than that.

Now, I’m not talking about posting in Facebook groups and getting a million responses from people who may or may not give you good (or the right) advice.

I’m talking about speaking to business professionals. People who are more successful than you are. That’s where the real knowledge comes from – those who are ahead of you!

Mastermind groups are great – everyone has a common goal – and you can find free ones (or form one!), or you can find all levels of them.

And if you want to join our Inspired community you can do that right here: www.yourvamentor.com/inspired.  We are a tight knit group of professionals who are getting things done in our businesses because we have the support we need to do it. It’s a (very) low-cost, high-value coaching alternative.

If you aren’t sure if the group is for you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary Cut to the Chase call with me: www.yourvamentor.com/15-min. We will talk about where you are in your business now, and where you want it to go. I will help you figure out your next step so you can move your business in the direction you want it to go!
